Born and raised in the Bronx, NY, I bring a street-smart resourcefulness to any situation. My personality allows for equanimity within chaos topped with a quirky sense of humor.
My approach to creative project management grows from what a professor in college once said: “You never know if what you’re saying is what the other person is hearing.” This understanding is what drives my ability to create lasting relationships with internal and external partners and help individuals with different experiences, education, and inclinations thrive in their collective efforts, while being focused on the end goal.
I bring depth to my decision-making with three skills that are vital to any successful group effort where business goals are at stake.
Leadership
There can be a lot of cooks in the kitchen in the creative process, so managing it doesn’t follow a straight assembly line from start to finish. I do more than check off boxes on a timeline; I help everyone involved create something special, on schedule.
Communication
Good communication includes active listening and telling the truth. Healthy relationships are critical to make sure all stakeholders feel heard and that everything communicated is the truth. If I don’t know, I’ll find out. And if the answer has to be “no,” I’ll follow up with another solution.
Critical thinking
Creative projects often involve reinterpretation and learning something new for all involved. I make sense of what’s being asked and translate it to the team at every step. This requires being flexible and strategic, and to manage expectations and roles.
